This subject is challenging and academically demanding but will provide you with a wealth of opportunities. You also study some of the applications of maths. In mechanics you will look at topics such as kinematics, forces and Newton’s laws, while in statistics you learn about statistical distributions and hypothesis testing. During your second year you will study the Further Maths topics covering core and pure mathematics, further statistics and further mechanics.
