The course aims to provide a stimulating and exciting program of study that will broaden students’ understanding of the fundamental role that chemistry plays in the physical and natural world around them. Through studying chemistry, students will develop and improve many transferable skills including; problem-solving, application of numbers, logical and critical thinking, observation, planning, and teamwork. Practical work is an integral part of the Chemistry course.
It is expected that students will have a good knowledge and understanding of Science at Grade 6 in an accepted GCSE Combined Science or Grade 6 in GCSE Chemistry. In addition, students are required to have at least a Grade 6 in GCSE Mathematics.
