Unit 1 – Anatomy and Physiology (External Assessment) Unit 2 – Sports Coaching and Activity Leadership Unit 4 – Working safely in sport (External Assessment) Unit 8 – Organisation of a sports event Unit 17 – Sports Injuries and rehabilitation Unit 18 - Practical sports Cambridge Technicals are vocational qualifications at Level 3 for students aged 16+. They’re designed with the workplace in mind and provide a high-quality alternative to A Levels. The Sports Coaching and Physical Activity, Level 3 Diploma aims to develop students’ knowledge, understanding and skills of the principles of Sport and Physical Activity. Students will gain an insight into the sector as they investigate opportunities for delivering sport and physical activity to a wide range of participants. Students will also gain core skills required for employment or further study in the sector such as communication, analysis, organisation and adaptation. A wide range of centre assessed units with practical and wider project-based assessment opportunities, as well as examined units on the body systems and the long- and short-term impacts of sport and physical activity.
- Students with 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or equivalent can consider the A level pathway. However, with a subject that was studied at GCSE we usually require a grade 6 at GCSE.
