Course summary
You will investigate and analyze how and why businesses are successful, while also suggesting how they can improve. This course provides you with the skills and knowledge to learn about organizations from how they motivate staff to managing budgets and major projects. This course is structured into four themes and consists of three externally examined papers. You will be introduced to business and build knowledge of core business concepts. Applying this knowledge to business contexts will develop a broad understanding of how businesses work. Breadth and depth of knowledge and understanding, with applications to a wider range of contexts and more complex business information, are also developed. Modules include: - Meeting customer needs - Marketing mix and strategy - Managing people - Entrepreneurs and leaders - Financial planning - Managing finance - Resource management - Business objectives and strategy
