Topics include aspects of Spanish-speaking society, current trends and artistic culture in the Spanish-speaking world. Students study a film and a book from the Spanish speaking world and develop their grammatical accuracy.
• Entry to the Sixth Form is based on meeting the standard entry requirements. These include the passing of Maths and English Language at a grade 4. • In addition to this we use a calculation called Attainment 8 to work out a score for students to indicate their suitability for each pathway. This score is generated by combining a students’ best 8 subject grades, counting English and Maths twice and including a minimum of three Ebacc subjects; Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Core & Additional Science, Computer Science, History, Geography, French, Spanish and German. For Waingels students this score will be included in any reports home. • A Level Pathway (selecting only A Levels): 50 ( Average Grade 5) • A grade 6 in Spanish at GCSE.
Two written papers (Paper 1: 2hr 30min & Paper 2: 2hr) One speaking exam (21-23mins)
