This intellectually challenging A Level involves exploring a range of topics based on religion, including philosophy of religion and ethics. These will include philosophical arguments for the existence of God, the problem of evil and suffering, life after death, religious experience, the relationship between religion and morality, sexual ethics, war and peace and justice, law and punishment. Students will consider religious views from both eastern and western traditions.
7 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including grade 5 English or above. A GCSE in Religious Studies is preferred but not essential if students can demonstrate to the Head of Subject a genuine interest in, and commitment to, this subject. We welcome students from all faiths or none.
