How would this have affected your education, your political views, and your job opportunities? Sociology provides insight into how our behaviour is shaped by the world around us. The topics covered help to explain why people are no longer choosing to marry, why middle-class students achieve better grades in school, how religion can unify and divide society and why crime is concentrated in inner-city areas.
To take three subjects at Post-16 you will need to have achieved 5-7 GCSEs at Grade 4/5 or above including Maths and English. To take four subjects at Post-16 you will need to have achieved 6 GCSEs at Grade 6 or above including Maths and English. You will be expected to have achieved at least a Grade 5 at GCSE for every subject you take at A Level.
