Not only will studying Mathematics help give you the knowledge to tackle scientific, mechanical, coding and abstract problems, it will also help you develop logic to tackle everyday issues like planning projects, managing budgets and even debating effectively. You get to meet the tools that are used in real-world applications along with some of those applications. It will enable you to understand the statistics used in the news, and it will allow you to make sense of the economy, medicine and even law. This course will allow you to develop an understanding of Mathematics and mathematical processes, develop the ability to reason logically and construct mathematical proofs: understand the coherence and progression in Mathematics; and learn how different areas of Mathematics can be utilised.
G6 or above in GCSE Maths. Over 60% in the Mathematics baseline entry test, taken in the Sixth Form Induction Week in September.
