Studying Government and Politics in Britain today is probably more exciting than it’s ever been. As Politics touches on literally every aspect of society, this course has universal appeal. In Politics we ask questions such as: ‘Has the Prime Minister got too much power?’ ‘What role does the media play?’ ‘Is there any real difference between the Labour Party and the Conservative Party?’ ‘Are judges becoming too powerful?’ ‘Can anarchism work?’ ‘what will life in Britain be like after Brexit?’ During the course you will have the opportunity to have a tour of the Houses of Parliament. You may also have had the opportunity to meet with a member of the House of Lords and have a Q&A session with their local MP.
G6 or above in GCSE English G6 or above in a combination of written subjects e.g. History, Geography etc.
