Course summary

The focus on learning about families and education in Year 12 means that everyone knows something about the course before we even start, but soon those assumptions we have held will be challenged, yet often proven as well. The study of research methods will open minds to the strategies others use on us when conducting research, as well as boosting students’ analytical eyes when seeing how researchers have come to, often flawed, conclusions. The Crime and Deviance always brings huge interest and great debate. Lessons will combine individual and group work, and will see regular debates, student presentations, visiting speakers, and creative forms of expressions of ideas.
