Studying mathematics encourages logical thought and an analytical approach to solving problems. Mathematics is not just about grades. Students should be studying it to enrich their knowledge, appreciate the many interactions between the vast number of concepts and gain satisfaction from solving complex problems independently. There is a large element of trigonometry, logarithms and calculus throughout the A Level. We follow the Edexcel board, where students complete three exams at the end of the 2 years: Paper 1: Pure1. Paper 2: Pure2. Paper 3: Mechanics and Statistics All modules are 100% examination and are equally weighted.
To study Maths at A Level the minimum requirement is a grade 7 at GCSE/IGCSE Maths
