This course will give an exciting insight into the world of Chemistry in a range of different contexts and shows how it has an impact on industry and many aspects of everyday life. A lot of practical work is integrated into the course along with the opportunity to develop many transferable skills, including investigating, problem solving, research, decision making, mathematical skills and analytical skills.
Ideally, students choosing to embark upon the A Level Chemistry course should have attained at least a grade 6 in GCSE Chemistry. Whilst having an interest and enthusiasm for the subject and the Sciences.
The course comprises of 6 modules, assessed through 3 exam papers totalling 6 hours (2 x 2 hours 15 minutes and 1 x 1 hour 30 minutes) at the end of year 13.
