Course summary

A Level Drama is a theoretical and practical study of all things related to Theatre. We cover both scripted and devised work alongside the study of practitioners, the evaluation of live performances and the analysis of literature. You are able to take either a performing or a technical design route through your A Level. Lower Sixth: Component One: Written exam based on two play texts (25%) Component Three: Individual performance and Group Performance (25%) Upper Sixth Component Two: Exploring and Performing Texts Component Four: Deconstructing Texts

Entry requirements

Entry to the Sixth Form is by current school reports and predicted GCSE Grades. Candidates require a minimum of 3 x Level Six and 3 x Level Four/Five Grades at GCSE (3 B grades and 3 C grades) to enter the Sixth Form, however a minimum of a Level 7 at GCSE is required to study Maths or Physics at A-Level.
