Course summary

Naturally, this course concentrates on the role of a physical educator, allowing the candidate to obtain a broad range of experience in schools. The course also incorporates the extensive study of sports science as well as the opportunity to gain several national governing body coaching awards. Graduates from this course are in demand and have no difficulty in obtaining work as teachers.

Entry requirements

Candidates will need a minimum of six Grade 6s or above at GCSE and will preferably have Grade 7 at GCSE in the subjects they wish to study at A Level. Students wishing to study Mathematics will require a Grade 8 or 9. For Biology or English Grade 7 will be required. We will also require a minimum of Grade 5 in both English and Mathematics. Where a subject is new at A Level, students will be required to achieve Grade 7 or Grade 6 in related subjects, reflecting the skills required for success in these courses. Minimum B GCSE PE and B at Maths and one Science.
