A high proportion of students take Design and Technology as an A-level subject and, as a result, leave for Higher Education with a high level of practical and problem solving skills. The Design and Technology A-level course is the perfect option for those students who enjoy the freedom to come up with their own creative ideas and the tools and opportunity to bring them to life. Design and Technology is a popular A-level and can be used towards a career within the design, engineering, construction or creative industry.
Our admission requirement is a minimum of five GCSEs graded 4 and above, including English and Mathematics. In addition, students will normally be expected to obtain a grade of 6 or higher in their chosen subjects. The option of taking a subject at A Level without a GCSE or equivalent level qualification can be discussed on an individual basis.
