If you have a genuine passion for sports and wish to gain a deeper insight into the multi-faceted field of study that is Sports Science, then Physical Education is for you. Sport provides so many fantastic opportunities for Whitgift students. The A Level course provides students with an opportunity to learn about the biological, psychological and sociological elements of Physical Education. Studying Physical Education will give you the academic basis upon which to reflect and improve upon your own sports performance, as well as allow you to develop several transferrable skills.
Our standard Sixth Form offer for A levels or IB is a total of 62 GCSE points from nine subjects, which is calculated by adding up all grades 6, 7, 8 and 9. (The minimum therefore is eight grade 7's and one grade 6, or equivalent.) Grade 7, including a 7 on the PE Theory paper (those without GCSE PE by prior agreement)
