Design and Technology opens the door to a wide range of careers in the creative, engineering and manufacturing industries. It teaches pupils time management and allows them experience in tackling real-world problems and liaising with clients. It teaches students about the world they live in and gives them the tools needed to solve problems and evaluate their outcomes. In careers that are using rapidly developing technologies, it will provide students with the skills sought by higher education and employers.
Our standard Sixth Form offer for A levels or IB is a total of 62 GCSE points from nine subjects, which is calculated by adding up all grades 6, 7, 8 and 9. (The minimum therefore is eight grade 7's and one grade 6, or equivalent.)
