Course summary

Geography is a subject which aims to grapple with the most pressing challenges of our time. You will get straight to the heart of intriguing geographical questions. Will the global food supply keep up with population growth? Can natural hazards be managed successfully in a changing world? Can sustainable living be achieved as more humans choose to live in global cities? Is income inequality between and within countries inevitable? If you are interested in exploring the interconnections underlying these fascinating and important questions, then Geography A Level is for you. As a department, we are hugely passionate about investigating geographical theory in the ‘real world’, so fieldwork is of primary importance. There are well-integrated opportunities to explore all aspects of the A Level in the local area and further afield.
