Course Requirement: Level 5 in GCSE Art
Coursework (60%) - A coursework component is submitted along with a 1000 to 1500 word essay on the artists and ideas which have influenced your project. Recording using sketch books and a portfolio of work is key to this development Examination (40%) - The exam unit sees students respond to a theme or title set by the exam board, over several weeks, in which they prepare for a final piece showing 15 hours of total work. This can be work encompassing printmaking, painting, sculpture, ceramics or for textiles any appropriate textile and embroidery methods
