This course is suited to students who are interested in studying a broad array of Pure Mathematics topics, alongside with elements in Mechanics and Statistics. Students will also need to be familiar with using the Edexcel and the Word. During this course students will develop an understanding of Mathematics and mathematical processes commonly used in the scientific, technological, and financial worlds, and to interpret, explain, and evaluate the results of mathematical arguments in a range of different situations and to communicate this information clearly and logically.

Students will take 1 internally assessed papers at the end of year 1 A-level studies. Students will sit 3 external assessed papers at the end of year 2 A-level studies. • Paper 1: Pure Mathematics, 33%, 2 hours, 100 marks • Paper 2: Pure Mathematics, 33%, 2 hours, 100 marks Any A Level Pure Mathematics content can be assessed on either paper. • Paper 3: Statistics and Mechanics, 33%, 2 hours, 100 marks. • Any A Level applied content will be assessed: ► Section A: Statistics (50 marks) ► Section B: Mechanics (50 marks)
