Course summary

A Level Further Mathematics is taken in addition to A Level Mathematics and develops in greater depth skills of a high level of numeracy and problem solving with persistence, logic, attention to detail, being able to links concepts between topics, processing and analysing information. Gaining success is hard work, but all the more satisfying for this. These skills are applied in many other subjects at A Level and beyond. Mathematics and Further Mathematics combine well with A Levels in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, Psychology, Economics, Business Studies, Art & Design, Design & Technology Languages. These subjects could lead to university courses in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Philosophy, Pure and Applied Sciences, Medical Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Geography, Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, Architecture, Economics, Business, Management and Finance.
