Course summary

A Level Physics will give you incredibly strong analytical and research skills. You will be able to solve problems in a methodical and logical way. You will be able to investigate theories, devise tests and explore new ideas. Such strong problem-solving skills are highly sought after in many careers and university courses. Students will study a range of topics within physics, ranging from mechanics and materials to nuclear and astrophysics. Students will be required to conduct eight practical experiments in Year 12 and six in Year 13. Across these experiments you will be tested on various experimental competencies towards attaining a practical endorsement certificate.

Grade 6 or above in Physics at GCSE.
