Students will conduct a more nuanced analysis of texts, with less ‘technique spotting’, introduce literary criticism and give critical opinions in greater depth when exploring contextual factors. Examinations are now ‘open book’.
Students should have a love of Literature including Drama and Poetry, and/or a deep curiosity regarding writers and their craft. Ideally, students will achieve a 6+ in GCSE English Literature.
