Fine Art at Tudor Hall is a broad course enabling pupils to explore a range of disciplines including sculpture, ceramics, etching, and painting in a variety of media underpinned by drawing and research in galleries. Students are encouraged to explore a range of disciplines or a variety of media in the first term before specialising in areas more suited to their own Personal Investigation. This course develops independent research, creative thinking and the necessary skills to realise ideas while at the same time creating a broadly-based portfolio, ideal for entering an art course at foundation or degree level, leading to a variety of creative industries
For entry into the Sixth Form, candidates are required to have at least six good passes at GCSE, including English and Maths.
A level Fine Art consists of two components; 60% coursework and 40% externally set assignment.
