The course modules are Core Pure Mathematics, Further Mechanics 1 and, in recent years, either Further Statistics 1 or Decision Mathematics 1 (these are subject to change). The Pure sections will see students extend the breadth of knowledge to include the new topics of complex numbers, matrices, polar coordinates and hyperbolic functions. Whilst at the same time building on skills in proof and calculus. The applied modules build on existing skills whilst Decision Mathematics introduces algorithms, graph theory, linear programming critical path analysis and game theory.
