In a world of tension between populist nationalism and supra-national liberalism, we are seeing the creation of the United Kingdom’s post-Brexit reality, in addition to the changing geopolitical power balance involving the United States, Russia and China. The vibrant political environment in the United Kingdom and the never-ending election cycle in the United States offer a perfect backdrop against which to study the governmental institutions and political processes of each country.
