Component 1 Written assessment (2 hours, 84 marks, 33.3%) The assessment consists of two sections; Section A – Political Participation which is worth 60 marks Section, B –Core Political Ideas which is worth 24 marks. Component 2 Written assessment (2 hours, 84 marks, 33.3%) The assessment consists of two sections; Section A – UK Government which is worth 60 marks Section, B – Non-core Political Ideas which is worth 24 marks. Component 3 Written assessment (2 hours, 84 marks, 33.3%) The assessment consists of three sections; Section A– Students choose 1 question out of a choice of 2 ( Total 12 marks) Section, B – Students answer 1 question. (Total 12 marks), Section C– Students answer 2 questions out of a choice of 3, each question is worth 30 marks (Total 60 marks)
