You should have achieved a grade 6 or above at both English Language and English Literature GCSE. However, there is certain room for negotiation if you have excelled in the examination elements of your GCSEs

The course is assessed through five main assessment objectives (AOs): AO1 Articulate informed responses to literary texts, using associated terminology and coherent written expression. AO2 Analyse ways in which meanings are shaped in literary texts. AO3 Demonstrate understanding of the significance of the contexts in which literary texts are written and received. AO4 Explore connections across literary texts. AO5 Explore literary texts informed by different interpretations.
