Course summary

The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is independently researched, produced and presented by pupils and is highly valued by universities. It is a standalone qualification separately recorded on the UCAS form and it provides students with the opportunity to:  choose their own topic  understand and use research skills.  develop and improve their own learning and performance as critical, reflective and independent students.  extend their planning, research, critical thinking, analysis, synthesis, evaluation and presentation skills. The EPQ can take the format of a 5000-word essay or a practical artefact (e.g. artwork, design, performance or script) plus a 1000-word commentary.
