A Level Further Mathematics: All Further Mathematicians study mathematics and, in addition, gain a Further Mathematics qualification. The Further Mathematics course further develops students’ algebra and calculus and is intended for the most able and interested students. Complex numbers are studied and students learn more about the proofs and applications of skills which engineers and scientists use to solve real world problems. Further Mathematicians are able to choose which applied modules they study in greater depth and are able to gain a genuine feel for what is involved in study beyond school.
Each of the six subjects is marked out of 7 (maximum of 42 points).
