Mathematics (Further)

Course summary

Students wishing to study A Level Further Mathematics will do so in addition to the A Level Maths course described above. Students will be taught in a separate group and will cover all the A level material in the Lower 6th year, followed by the Further Maths work in the Upper 6th year. The overarching themes of Mathematical Argument, Language and Proof, Mathematical Problem-Solving and Mathematical Modelling will occur in the four Further Maths modules that students are required to study. Two of these will be Pure Maths and In addition, two modules will be required from the following: Additional Pure Maths, Further Statistics, Further Mechanics or Decision Maths.
