Course summary

The study of Greek and Roman literature allows the students to be able to read and analyse some of the finest literary texts in the Western world. Our learning of the Latin language is placed firmly in the context of the Roman world, its culture, history and social practices. Our study is very much of a people as well as a language.

Entry requirements

Our current requirement for entry into the Sixth Form is a minimum of six Grade 5s at GCSE (or the equivalent), preferably with Grade 7s in the subjects to be studied at A Level. Places are offered on the basis of an interview with the academic team and Head of Sixth Form, academic assessment, predicted GCSE results and a report from the pupil’s current school.
