A Level Photography nurtures creative thinking and critical reflection across the Visual Arts. Students develop imaginative ways of seeing and independent thinking while exploring photographic techniques and materials. The course commences with introductory, technical workshops before diversifying into individual directions and themes in both digital and traditional photographic approaches. Students choose their own coursework focus and the examination unit develops individual responses to an externally-set theme. The course also includes compulsory UK art gallery visits and a significant overseas art trip, offering students first hand exposure to a diverse range of Visual and Creative Arts to support their own practice.
