The study of Art can refresh our vision and help us to look at the world in a variety of ways. Students learn to give tangible form to their feelings and their imagination, record and commemorate and create extraordinary versions of ordinary things. Clifton has always had a strong tradition in art and former students have included the Bloomsbury art critic and artist Roger Fry, the artist Henry Tonks, who became professor of Fine Art at the Slade School in London, and the landscape and abstract artist Peter Lanyon, a famous member of the St Ives School.
We require three grade 7s or above, and three grades 6s at GCSE as the requirements for external and internal entrants to Clifton College Sixth form Grade 7 in GCSE in Art
