A Level Mathematics is divided into three main modules studied over two years, covering essential areas of mathematical theory and application. These modules include pure mathematics, mechanics and statistics. You will be stretched with content beyond the classroom with lectures by inspiring individuals through our links with some of the UK’s leading universities and designing and delivering Royal Institution Mathematics lectures. There are opportunities for you to explore an area of interest through the Extended Project Qualification and we will provide additional support for entrance exams such as STEP (Cambridge) and MAT (Oxford). Our A Level Mathematics programme offers a comprehensive and rigorous study of mathematical concepts, equipping you with the skills and knowledge necessary for further academic and professional pursuits. Through engaging lessons, comprehensive past exam practice and assessment, we aim to foster a deep understanding and appreciation of mathematics, empowering our students to excel in their chosen paths.
All candidates are expected to achieve a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 9 to 5, including English and Maths, and at least grade 7 in the A Level subjects to be studied, or equivalent subjects.
Three written examinations, each assessing the content the different modules. The examinations are held at the end of the two-year programme. The overall grade is determined by the cumulative marks obtained in these examinations.
