We will help you develop into an emerging artist or designer with the support of our expert teachers and in our contemporary, open plan art studio. Similar to facilities offered at some of the top universities, you will have a personalised ‘pod’ space for the duration of your A Level course to grow your creative ideas. During the first term of our A Level courses, you will participate in a series of workshops and small projects to allow you to build a broad portfolio of work, explore our wide range of facilities and broaden your technical skills. Our teaching staff will spend time discussing your personal ambitions and tailor the subject matter of your work towards your own interests.
All candidates are expected to achieve a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 9 to 5, including English and Maths, and at least grade 7 in the A Level subjects to be studied, or equivalent subjects.
Two components: a personal Investigation (60%) completed between January in Year 12 and Christmas in Year 13 and an externally set assignment (40%) completed between January and Easter in Year 13.
