How you'll be assessed

Paper 1 - Markets and business behaviour: 35% of the total A Level mark, paper 1 will assess microeconomics, drawing on themes 1 and 3. The paper comprises multiple choice, short answer, data response and extended open-response questions. Duration: 2 hours. Paper 2 - The national and global economy: 35% of the total A Level mark, paper 2 will assess macroeconomics, drawing on themes 2 and 4. The paper comprises multiple choice, short answer, data response and extended open-response questions. Duration: 2 hours. Paper 3 - Microeconomics and macroeconomics: 30% of the total A Level mark, paper 3 will assess content across all four themes. The paper comprises a data response question including an extended open-response question. Duration: 2 hours.
