In a changing and uncertain world, the study of History has never been so relevant or important. History is more than the study of the past, it is the process of recording, reconstructing and interpreting the past through the use of a wide variety of media. It is a discipline that gives students an understanding of themselves, their identity and the world in which they live. IB History is a global modern story. A story that spans the whole globe with fascinating characters and world-changing events. History is every story. Students will study: Paper 1 • Civil Rights (South Africa and the USA) Paper 2 • The Cold War • Authoritarian States; Mao and Castro Paper 3; The Americas • Political Developments in the Americas • Civil Rights and Social Movements • The Cold War in Latin America
