Course summary

Drama and Theatre is a subject that develops and nurtures key skills that are essential in wider life. Many universities favour applicants who have taken the subject, as they will have such attributes as keen analytical skills, emotional intelligence and the ability to work collaboratively. These skills are also, of course, highly relevant in the workplace. During the course, pupils develop a strong sense of self-confidence and self-awareness, as well as honing their written and reflective abilities. Although practical performance work is at the heart of what the course entails, many of the marks come from well-structured and highly analytical written work. This ensures that students finish the course with a wide range of attributes.
