Course summary

This course is concerned with the visual communication of ideas or messages, which is used to skillful effect in design for broadcast, advertising, editorials, publishing, packaging and interactive media. The course places emphasis on drawing and includes the study of typography, illustration, photography, computer-aided digital and time-based design which could feed into a variety of final outcomes from character design to packaging and branding. The main disciplines are as follows: • Animation • Illustration • Interactive Media • Typography • Advertising / Marketing • Packaging • Photography / Photomedia • Film

Entry requirements

A Level Programme Requirements: · Aged 16+ on 1st September prior to enrolment · Minimum 3 GCSE’s or equivalent · Appropriate art and design portfolio · Proof* of English Language to a CEFR level of at least B1 (for students whose first language is not English) ·* proof must be in the form of a Secure English Language Test (SELT) if the student is 18 years or older. If the student is 17 or younger, proof can be in the form of an internal test conducted by ISCA, if the candidate has not already taken an external English language test (e.g. IELTS, PET, iGCSE in ESOL etc.).
