Course summary

The accounting A level is a practical and rigorous course where high levels of attention to detail and strong analytical skills are needed to succeed. The course takes you from the foundations of double entry book that every small business uses to accounts for larger corporations. The legal framework behind the accounting process is also learnt so students can gain a thorough understanding of what accounting is and how it works in the real life. Material learnt here will also be relevant for those wishing to pursue professional accounting qualifications further on. Accounting is more than just numbers. Forensic accounting has become a popular career destination, where a deep understanding of how a business works and how people interact with a business is necessary. Students must have a wider appreciation for the business environment to fully understand this subject, hence lending students towards careers in Economics, Finance, and Business Management.
