Course summary

Psychology is the study of the behaviour from different perspectives using scientific methods. This science-based subject involves the study of cutting-edge research that can be applied to real-life issues, such as why Eyewitness Testimony is not always accurate in a court room. Psychology is a very popular A-Level subject and academically demanding. It therefore requires a wide range of skills, including critical thinking and mathematical skills. Students enjoy the variety of activities in lessons and the frequent opportunities to take part in practical activities based upon famous psychological research. As the course is assessed through examinations, essay writing will be an integral part of your studies. A keen interest in current affairs and the issues relating to the brain and human behaviour are essential.
