Course summary

With over 200 million people speakers covering all five continents and as an official language of the United Nations, French remains a highly important world language. France is a key economic partner of many nations, notably Britain, and a knowledge of French offers a great advantage in the international job market. Studying French also provides access to some of the greatest works of art and literature, not to mention fashion, dance, cooking and architecture where it is the recognised international language. Add to this the ability to travel and communicate, as well as the simple joy of learning a melodious and rich language, and French becomes an excellent choice to study at A level and beyond.
