The subjects stated above are only available to native speakers and native level speakers of these languages as Exam Entry Plus courses. Exam Entry Plus enables native speakers and native level speakers of French, Spanish, Chinese and Russian to take A-level examinations through a ten-hour block of tuition that focuses on introducing, explaining and practising examination papers. Prior to this tuition students are given the relevant A-level specification and informed of, where applicable, the specific topics that a student should prepare for. The Exam Entry Plus approach enables students to acquire an A-level in addition to the three A-levels or BTEC Business qualification that make up their programme of study at the College without having to spend an unnecessary amount of time over one or two academic years acquiring linguistic ability that they already possess.
