Course summary

Millfield has one of the largest Mathematics departments of any independent school, with an experienced team of 24 teaching staff. With size comes diversity, both in terms of the courses we offer and the students we teach. We support pupils of all abilities, from those who find the subject challenging, to students who show exceptional mathematical talent. All students at Millfield are entered for the Mathematics IGCSE; the qualification is designed to provide a grasp of key mathematical concepts and processing skills. The examination has tiered foundation and higher entry levels to cater for students of all abilities. At the higher level the IGCSE examination is excellent preparation for those studying Mathematics in the Sixth Form.
