Throughout the Lower Sixth course students will be guided and supported in learning and developing a strong and sophisticated skill set which will enable them to attack the Upper Sixth course with vigour and determination. This is a broad course following practical and critical / contextual work through a range of 2D and / or 3D processes and media associated with two or more of the titles below: Fine Art Graphic Communications Textile Design Three dimensional design Photography
Ideally students should have achieved a grade 6 or above at GCSE Art.
Each sixth form art student is provided with their own designated studio space from which they are able to carry out lessons and independent study. At the end of each year the space is transformed in to the exhibition space for the End of Year Show. Students curate and hang their own exhibition with the support and guidance of the art team.
