At Millfield we believe that Philosophy is not something that should be simply studied; we encourage our students to debate and experience it. After all, Philosophy is about asking ‘why?’ and not simply accepting everything we hear and see. The course is rigorous and stimulating; it covers theory of knowledge, the human mind, ethics and an analysis of the concept of God. A Level Philosophy offer a stimulating blend of debate, enquiry, tutorial and analysis, which prepares students well for further education.
Entry is dependent upon performance in the interview and a satisfactory reference, including GCSE/IGSCE predicted grades where relevant. Candidates will also be required to sit a computer based verbal and non-verbal reasoning assessment. For candidates outside of the UK we may also require the Ukiset test to be sat prior to interview.
