In Year 12, the content of the IB economics course is very similar to A Level specification as students will learn the fundamental concepts involved in both micro and macro economics. However, the second year of the course is very different. Students investigate economics from a more international perspective. This includes how and why countries trade with each other, the impact of exchange rate fluctuations and international trade agreements. In addition, students will also learn many of the theories associated with development economics. Students will explore the reasons why countries remain underdeveloped in the twenty-first century
Each of the six subjects taken is marked out of 7 (maximum of 42 points).
