Course summary

This dynamic subject constantly evolves with academic research and global change. We stay abreast of contemporary geographies and have high expectations of students in covering a rigorous programme of study. The course examines a range of world issues and fundamental geographical concepts in order to understand the world we live in today. This includes managing our key environmental issues, the social and economic challenges influencing certain areas of the world, and how glaciated landscapes and hazardous environments are crucial in shaping our planet.

Entry requirements

An overall average of a grade 6 at GCSE or IGCSE in all subjects is required for entry to our Sixth Form, with a minimum of a grade 7 in the subjects you wish to study at A Level (a minimum of a grade 8 in Further Maths). In addition, you will be expected to take on greater responsibility for your own independent learning as part of the transition from life at school to university and further career.
