The IB Visual Arts course is widely based and students should be prepared to create their studio work in a variety of media and disciplines. In addition to drawing and painting, they are required to explore other art making forms in 2D, 3D and lens based, electronic and screen -based forms. All HL and SL students are required to work in a variety of art making forms. The Visual Arts course requires the students to explore the creative process through three core areas: theoretical, art making and curatorial practice. They explore these core elements through the process of creating art works in the Process portfolio and their exhibition work.
Each of the six subjects is marked out of 7 (maximum of 42 points).
